chris barkerChris Barker

In 1999 I completed the London Marathon. Since then running over long distances has become my passion. This year my goal is to complete the Ultra Tour du Mont Blanc (163km run around Mont Blanc with a total positive elevation change of 9,500 metres). Most/all of my clients think that I am mad, but I say whilst you are fit and healthy you might as well do it. It’s all about getting the balance right. This can sometimes be hard to do, especially as a society we keep putting pressure on one another to strive and achieve.

A good training session will release the endorphins that will make you feel good and help you cope with these pressures. Slightly increasing your muscle mass will help you tone up and increase your self esteem. Changing your diet to a more balanced one will increase your energy levels, leaving you nourished and vitalised. I understand most of my clients that come and see me and say that they want to get there fitness and health back. I couldn’t imagine being without mine. Being healthy means you can live. Being fit makes you live your life to the full.
